Update on street signage for Samarra & 141According to Jefferson County platts, this intersection serves approximately 442 residences.
Based on questions by the WLE team and the follow-up of Rep. Renee Reuter, a second warning sign has been added warning northbound Old 141 drivers of a hidden drive, Samarra estates. Many thanks to Jefferson County officials in getting this done, quickly. Lt Scott Schumer, East Zone Commander, the Traffic Department and our Council Representative, Renee Reuter, District 2.
We were also promised by Jefferson County traffic supervisor, Jason Jonas, that the northbound lane would be shifted away from the block wall about 4 to 6 feet which will give cars making a turn from Samarra onto Old 141 a better view of on-coming traffic. This change will NOT occur until Old 141 is re-paved, estimated to be 6 years from now.
Many thanks to Jefferson County for their help and response!!!!!

Lake Repair Work Complete as of Friday, February 20thThe urgent repairs on the lake have been completed. The contractor, Kelpe Contracting, did a great job making the repairs. Handrails are re-installed. There may be some clean-up required once we have better weather. We will keep an eye on that.
Keep in mind that the Maintenance committee will be studying lake maintenance that will be required in the future. Lakes need some maintenance over time, silt will need to be removed and any other routine maintenance that needs to be done. The lake has been there for about 10-12 years. We have trees that are about to come down as well. We will be asking assistance from the MO Department of Conservation to consult with us to keep the lake functioning as a retention basin and as a park for residents.
Thank you all for your patience and keeping the streets clear for workmen.
